The Return of the King!!!

Where do I go from here?

Black Panther’s last series Black Panther: Man Without Fear/Most Dangerous man Alive was cancelled due to low sales (see sales figures here) the series followed T’challa after the events of Doomwar which changed the ways of life and trading for the people of Wakanda forever. Now that he’s built himself back up he’s returning home and set to appear in the Fantastic Four due out in may FF # 18, see the solicits below:

The Fantastic Four travel to Wakanda

The Return of Black Panther to the pages of the F4.

What happens when the world completely runs out of Vibranium?

This news comes straight from Marvel Comics advanced solicits. I’ll be checking it out to see what angle the writer will take with the state of current Wakanda “post Doomwar” since it’s been inconsistent since he left. Klaws of the Panther implied the nation was directionless without Vibranium as Shuri searched to find an alternate source. Man without Fear’s last story took a more feasible approach since Wakanda had always relied on Vibranium they had untapped Oil, diamonds and gold mines that they never even used (This was noted in Hudlin’s run and other marvel books). Liss made note that even in a time of recession they were still doing better than every other country on earth (how? we assume they started tapping those untapped resources).  How will Wakanda be portrayed in Fantastic Four? Lets just wait and see, marvel doesn’t quite seem sure of what to do with the nation post Doomwar.
