Biography

Dora Milaje years

As a child, Nakia of the Q’Noma valley marsh tribe was chosen by tribal elders to be Dora Milaje. She spent three years of training before being presented to T’challa. Barley a teenager she fell in love on the spot. She became close friends with fellow Dora Milaje Okoye but was immediately jealous of T’challa’s American fiancee Monica Lynne. Over the next few years both Nakia and Okoye were standouts among the Dora Milaje and were extensively tutored in martial arts, sciences, and technology. When T’challa accepted refugees from Wakandas war-torn neighbors and a scandal involving a murdered child linked to Wakanda funded tomorrow society came about the three traveled to America to investigate. When T’challa was tricked by Mephisto into kissing Nakia he tried to explain it to her but she refused to listen to reason, even her fellow Dora Milaje Okoye could not talk sense into her, she thought at long last her feelings had been reciprocated. Upon returning to Wakanda she and Monica were left alone and she threw her from the plane. When she told T’challa Monica was dead he immediately realized what had occurred and informed her he would return her to her tribe in disgrace.

Rebirth

Nakia fled right to Achebe who tortured and left her for dead. Killmonger found her, healed, and genetically enhanced her. He then unleashed her to punish T’challa for her rejection. Feeling that Nakia the weak-willed girl who was not worthy of T’challa’s love was dead she christened herself Malice after the woman who had sided with Killmonger years before. She next cut Dr. Voodoos throat and tried to kill Monica who had survived their first encounter her attempt failed however the arrival of Queen Divine Justice, her Dora Milaje Replacement, though she did kill an ally of T’challla’s known as Nikki Adams. Her next plot involved freeing the Man-Ape to kidnap T’challa’s mother, poisoning a former student and his cousin while using an army of men under her thrall to kill Monica. T’challa in a bid to gain the antidote pretended to fall under her power and faked killing Okoye. His plans got derailed when Monica arrived. She fled and he flowed. As they battled atop a speeding truck T’challa threatened to destroy Q’Noma valley to prevent her betrayal from sparking a civil war. Rather than see her tribe wiped out she provided the antidote, shared one true kiss with T’challa moments before seemingly being killed as the truck passed under a low bridge.
