It was successful and he gained super strength, slowed aging and a healing factor. Nowadays he the head of S.H.I.E.L.D and responsible for the forming of the Ultimates in all it’s incarnations and monitoring the x-men, Spiderman and the superhero community in general. This version of Nick was molded off the likeness of Samuel Jackson who incidentally plays him on the big screen in movies such as the Iron Man films and the upcoming Avengers film directed by Joss Whedon.
