After SCHISM, who will the mutants follow — Cyclops or Wolverine? Setting the stage for WOLVERINE & THE X-MEN #1 and UNCANNY X-MEN #1 and the rest of the X-Men Universe!

Summary

The X-men choose whether to side with Cyclops or Wolverine after X-men: Schism.

The Good

Wolverine’s team-Gambit, Iceman, Kitty Pryde, Beast, Rachel Summers, Toad, Cannonball, Chamber, Husk and Dust. Ok the cast may not be very interesting but having Wolverine as headmaster is a train wreck waiting to happen, I simply must see what comes next!

Prodigy– Thank you for voicing one of my concerns for all who have plans to go running back to a school, more mutants died at the school than Cyclops has lost at Utopia. The number and practicality are staring you right in the face and kicking you in the Gonads! Put that in your pipe and smoke it!

Cyclops Team- Colossus, Namor, Storm, Emma Frost, Magneto, Psylocke, Hope Summers, Dazzler, Domino, Warpath, Dr. Nemisis, Cypher, Madison Jeffries, Magik, Magma, Sunspot, X-man and Dani Moonstar. It’s safe to say the lion’s share of power rests with Cyclops. This team I can see doing many great things in the immediate future.

Art- The symbolic scenes were the best as Wolverine and Cyclops fought like Cavemen while those watching them either joined or left their ranks.

The Five lights- It was a rare moment for me as I genuinely felt sad for Hope Summers as she explained to her teammate why she was so concerned about her team staying together in light of her father’s death during second coming. That’s good writing!

Black Heroes- So Storm is staying with Cyclops, along with Prodigy and Sunspot while Idie Okonkwo, Bling and Frenzy  will be journeying to Westchester county. Hard to complain when we get so much love even though it’s spread around and not concentrated!

The Bad

Cover- Symbolic yes, but not the very best cover put out by the X-men line this year.

Wake me- Schism was such a tantalizing thrill ride of an event I honestly expected more from this tie in. Alas all hopes are dashed!

The Ugly

I found the choosing of sides boring since advanced solicits already gave away the members of each faction 2.5/5
