Origins and Endings

Isaiah King grew up in the United States of America. He was best described as patriotic man who even marched to Selma with Martin Luther King [Team 1: Stormwatch #1 June 1991]. From an early age he could tell what others thought instinctively. This skill helped him to become an astronaut, his powers made him an ideal candidate and member of team one.At first his candidacy was in question because f his civil rights past but his talents made him  perfect for “attack coordinator”. The other reason he was chosen was they needed a black member in the racially charged times that the team was being assembled [Team 1: Stormwatch #1 June 1991].

The training and the secrets he learned made him attempt to flee the program but he was forcefully taken back which left him paranoid, overwhelmed and timid [Team 1: Stormwatch #2, 1991].

Stormwatch and Wildcats Team 1 were teams of super powered beings trained and sent into space in hopes of making the first super powered army for the United States.  The Government faked his death in order for him to be fully involved in the operation, leaving his young son Jackson and his wife behind. Away from the world he knew he was aboard “monitor one” when a radioactive comet passed by the station, breaching the shields and bathing those inside with its unknown energy. While some were killed, others were changed into monstrous creatures and yet still some like Isiah himself found there powers amplified. His limited Psionics became full-blown Telepathy and telekinesis along with megalomania.

Despot is Born

He was briefly reunited with his wife where they conceived a second son Malcolm before he was captured and imprisoned by the United Nations. For years he slept alongside the Warguard as they had come to be called. Those who had remained free tried often to free him but unsuccessfully so. Both his sons eventually joined Stormwatch as well and knew of his location. When Battalion/Jackson is apparently killed in battle his younger son Malcolm starts visiting him regularly.

During the wildstorm rising conflict him and the rest of the warguard were released to disastrous effect. He decimated the Stormwatch ranks and defeated his son Jackson. Later he seduced his younger son Malcolm into joining in his mad schemes.
