Remember that Rumor a while back that Romeo Miller formerly Lil Romeo was either involved or in talks to play the king of Wakandan the very first black superhero Black Panther? Turns out it was true! This just in from an interview Romeo did for the Black film website.
With Marvel possibly doing a film on the Black Panther, is that a role you can see yourself doing?
RM: I would love to. I remember that before Jumping the Broom got released, there were some producers were talking about shopping the script to some people and I was one of the people they contacted and was asked if it was something I would be interested in. You never know. I definitely want to take in and be the next big action hero. That may be something that’s cool.
So…..what do you guys think of this….revelation? Sound off below or on our facebook page!
More as it breaks!

AWWWWWW….HELL NAW!!!!!! WTF does Hollywood think of when its casts people?!? They love to find the brotha that doesn’t match the role and then GIVE HIM THE ROLE! Lil Romeo? I’d rather they feminize the role and let Halle Berry do it!

I think he would probably do a good job. He has already been in a few films and he already has a fans base of young people. He definitely has the boyish charm and he is young enough to play the role for a trilogy or more.

if THIS is where the movie is going or could possibly be going, Id rather see it NOT BE MADE. I’ve also heard rumors of TI being in a marvel movie

“I definitely want to take in and be the next big action hero.”
I’d rather have someone that understand how important this role is to black geeks, and not someone who is looking at this role as a paycheck and a stepping stone to more acting gigs.

JUST NO! Nothing against Romeo but there are FAR TOO MANY other MORE TALENTED and SEASONED black actors that could play that role INFINITELY BETTER: Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Edris Elba, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Djimon Hounsou and Jeffrey Sams just to name a few off the top of my head. T’Chala is a man of great presence and should be seen on the screen as such. But as my predecessors have said Hollywood will do anything to down play a strong African character against his white superhero counter parts.
