Biography

A little over 1100 years ago Nommo the great wizard king of the African empire Kor stood in the pillar of life and was granted both immortality and great power. With this power he made Kor the greatest city in the history of Africa spanning over 100 cities. Over time he decided to abdicate his throne and went into seclusion on a mountain made in his likeness on Africas East Coast. Here he only used his powers rarely. In 1957 the ECC established DOME a superhuman police organizational headquarters. Here Mist would house his team the Global Guardians until they lost the UN funding to the JLI (Justice League International). Queen Bee of Bialya then created a cyborg Mist to lead her own team of Global Guardians but this ended when the real Mist liberated his teammates and relocated the Global Guardians and the DOME to the Pacific. It was here he apparently “died” but returned during Zero Hour. Dr, Mist then created the Leymen and was again killed when he was hurled into a vat of acid.

New 52

In the New DCU he is working for the government funded, A.R.G.U.S., along with black Orchid. While tracking Pandora who had stolen the magical “Pandora’s box” from the “BLACK ROOM” which houses every magical artifact and spell that the government has ever found.  In South America he is captured by Felix Faust until he’s rescued by Justice League: Dark lead by John Constantine.  Mist is instrumental in discovering the source of Faust’s new powers and the team discovers the first Tesseract, The Eight Dimensional Map which is the map to the Books of Magic the very source of all magic itself!
