As a young child Rina Patel experienced visions of her future. She eventually realized she was swapping consciousness across time. Though the swap took extreme focus it eased as she matured and learned to control her powers. When she had a vision of the end of the world and the death of the new warriors she used her powers to convince them she was not a fake. By slowing time around them and saving their lives and having knowledge of their civilian identities and technology they were sold and she was given a costume and branded Timeslip. When her vision came to pass she joined forces with Spiderman to save New York, rescue the new warriors from the future and defeat the time traveler responsible for it all, Advent. She later aided the team against Hydra but found her powers neutralized. She quit the team and continued her education at U.S.C. When the public turned against the New Warriors because of the Stanford Incident and her identity was reveled to them, a mob attacked her but she escaped. She later was part of the initiative and later is seen celebrating with the x-men in San Francisco.
