Summary
The origins of the news boy army is revealed as well as how JJ plays into the very survival of the world right before the forces of evil try to kill Ed.
The Good
Creepy tale- There is something genuinely creepy about the tale being told here by Grant Morisson. It starts out campy enough for you to laugh at the origin and the fairy hunt but it morphs into an invasion apocalypse tale which makes your hair stand on edge. That my friend is good story telling.
The art is superb, hitting all the right notes.
Seven- The tale of JJ and his inclusion in the seven soldiers culminates here as he’s thrust into a conflict so old and so evil it’s beyond thought.
Cover- The cover presented as a newspaper was well done.
The Bad
Some will complain this issue felt like a “news boy comic” with JJ as a guest star.
The Ugly
