Biography
Born Armando Munoz to a Latino mother and a black father. He was despised by his mother early on as his powers manifested shorty after birth and not the typical puberty phase of most mutants. His mother eventually handed him over to the government who experimented on the boy. He was rescued by Moira Mctagert who made him a member of her X-men team. When the original X-men went missing him and his friends where recruited by Professor X to rescue them but most died while Darwin joined with teammate Vulcan to survive. Years later when Vulcan returned and fought the team he separated from him and regenerated his own body. He traveled into space with the X-men to battle his former friend who had seized control of the shiar empire. He was instrumental in saving the professor’s life before returning to earth. Darwin participated in defending the school from Hulk and defending the mutant messiah Hope before joining X-Factor investigations where he developed a crush on Monet St. Croix In a battle with the Asgard god of death Hela he manifested her own powers and proclaimed himself the new God of death. He has since left the team to do some soul searching.
Y did Darwin have to get killed. Wat the heck man. :L
Of course Darwin had to die & fullfill an old hollywood tradition of killing off the token black guy to contrive a sense of loss for the heroes. Don’t get me wrong, it was the best X-film yet! Still, a guy this powerful would’ve simply adapted to Shaw’s blast, most likely by turning into sentient energy himself even if he lacked the experience since his abilities run pretty much on auto-pilot.(this is exactly what happened with Gen X kid, Synch -a character no one knows what to do with, so is killed off in order not to eclipse the mainstream favorites). Face it, black & powerful in the mainstream -means you’re dead pretty soon (ask br -sorry dr voodoo!).
One of my favourite heroes from x-men films. His power is so cool! “Adapt to this.” He did adapt! So glad to have found out that he is alive in the comic series! He adapted into gas or pure energy and someone found him and consequently saved him. 🙂
Oh you should have an image of his x men self? XD
They had to kill him. Ofcource because they made a mistake. Wait a min a black man that is technically more powerful than anybody…OPPPS we got to delete him.
