Biography

Patricia Jackson was a mutant mercenary in the service of Kingpin under the alias of “Knight.” She was part of a crew alongside King and Rook. When their boss was doing business with Klaw, Knight and the rest of the team intercepted an assassination attempt on Klaw by Erik Killmonger. They captured him and brought him to the Kingpin, who ordered to have him killed. King saw potential in Erik and recruited him into the crew.[Killmonger #1] Following the successful execution of a multi-target assassination, the Kingpin decided to dispose of them by pitting them against his best mercenary, Bullseye, claiming it was a test of worth.[Killmonger #2] After Bullseye ambushed the four and killed Rook, the rest escaped and King parted ways. Killmonger remained with Patricia, and they had a one-night stand.[Killmonger #3]

Patricia had previously reached out to S.H.I.E.L.D. to start a new life away from Fisk. Her contact, the Black Widow, pressured Patricia to facilitate them King in exchange for helping her and Erik.[Killmonger #3] Patricia and Erik then traveled to Sofia, Bulgaria to find King. Erik attempted to convince Patricia to simply warn King and then escape together to Wakanda where he could become king and Patricia his queen, but she decided to follow through with her deal with S.H.I.E.L.D., believing Wakanda to be a fantasy and being unwilling to end in S.H.I.E.L.D.’s bad graces. When freelancer agents contacted by Patricia arrived, a shoot-out resulted in the death of King and his wife Celia. Patricia left after beating up Erik.[Killmonger #4]

A year later, Patricia had settled down in London under a new name. Erik tracked her down and confronted her. Alleging that he wanted her to retrieve information on Wakanda and the Black Panther from S.H.I.E.L.D., Erik gave Patricia an external drive to plug into a S.H.I.E.L.D. terminal, holding her sister hostage to force her to comply. When Patricia met up with Black Widow afterward, she notified Patricia that she was being cut off despite Patricia’s desire to have a place within S.H.I.E.L.D. since she had no more intel of value. Patricia then followed through with Erik’s orders, and met up with him and handed him over the drive. However, Erik revealed the true purpose of the device was to upload information into S.H.I.E.L.D.’s systems when it was connected, and it had uploaded evidence that Patricia was still working in the black market in revenge for her betrayal. A S.H.I.E.L.D. team then swarmed Patricia and Erik. He killed them all before stabbing Patricia, revealing that he had already killed her sister too.[Killmonger #5]
