Tessa Bridges hails from Foster City, home to the world’s leading minds in modern medicine. Upon her approaching graduation from high school, Tessa takes an interest in Chemistry and Genetics, two subjects her father Dr. Maxwell Bridges knows best. Elated by her interests, he proposes a tour of his workplace, TREYK Pharmaceuticals, where he is a lead Biochemist. Luck would have it, her tour coincides with the first human trial of H.E.R.A., the Human Enhancement Retroactive Agent, a new chemical compound created to unlock latent metahuman abilities, dependent on genetic make-up.
The test goes haywire, turning the subject into a living bomb. The lab is destroyed, releasing the remaining amounts of H.E.R.A. into the water system. With Tessa being closest to the chaos, she is exposed to the compound, with electrifying results.
Now a college freshman, Tessa has to cope with her developing abilities and the rigors of campus life. Feeling obligated to help clean up the situation her father had a hand in, she becomes the supercharged Tezla. Little does Tessa realize, there’s always someone else pulling the strings. There’s only one man that knows TREYK’s true mission, and he is at the top of the pyramid…
