Biography
His mother Zobae was a Dora-Milaje the events surrounding her departure from Wakanda are shrouded in mystery. She was either exiled or ran away and made her way to California, USA after becoming pregnant. It is alluded to that his father is Atlantian (West Coast Avengers #9, 2018).
They grew up in the US and his mother died when he was fifteen. It was tricky to stay with his sister after that but they managed (West Coast Avengers #9, 2018).
Before her death, his mother left her children a handmade Bureau which contained her Dora Milaje Spear, her clothes, her cloak and some Vibranium artifacts (West Coast Avengers #9, 2018).
At fifteen his powers kicked in and he wore the Vibranium rings in his ears and nose because he knew he needed them. His sister had a more intense reaction and keeled over in pain when she touched the Vibranium ring.
He came to the attention of Hawkeye/ Clint Barton and Kate Bishop who were in the process of restarting the West Coast Avengers. He was also dating Kate Bishop so he joined the team (West Coast Avengers #1, 2018).
