Aldis Hodge is Hawkman!

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Aldis Hodge (LeverageHidden FiguresStraight Outta ComptonUnderground) is in final negotiations to join Black Adam as Justice Society member Hawkman.

Introduced in 1941 by Gardner Fox and Dennis Neville in Flash Comics #1, Hawkman was originally archaeologist Carter Hall, the reincarnation of ancient Egyptian prince Khufu, who was murdered with his consort Chay-Ara. Reunited in the modern day they fought crime as Hawkman and Hawkgirl. Subsequent revamps of the origin made Hawkman instead a fierce warrior from the planet Thanagar.

Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, Black Adam stars Dwayne Johnson and Noah Centineo. The film arrives in theaters Dec. 22, 2021.
