After The Event, Powell was recovered by Foresight and worked on by Doctor Demarcus Mayes, who resentfully and at Lorena’s request, implanted his head with a device that recognizes her voice.

Unfortunately, the implant wasn’t strong enough and Powell found himself killing four innocent scientists trying to escape. Something he soon forgot during his tenure in Chiapas.

After joining a team of astronauts on a risky mission to save the Earth from an impending asteroid, Powell returns to Earth in Noble with new powers and no memories. Although it’s been a year since his disappearance, David’s beloved wife Astrid Powell is determined to rescue him, even as the newly amnesiac and telekinetic David starts making his own way back to his family.

Regaining his memories and reuniting with Astrid after a hostile gunfight with a new name, Noble, he accepts his power and accepts his role as a new hero for the people.
