Hobie Brown, a.k.a. The Prowler, believes in what The Jackal is doing, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy. It definitely helps having Madame Web and her precognitive powers. But can he trust her?
Summary
Prowler wakes up in a cell.It’s opened by his old teammate from the Avengers Initiative, Julia Carpenter. She is the one that has been hacking into New U’s network. They both talk for awhile until Prowler caries out his job of destroying her network as Jackal would want. She is understandably upset but makes a quick escape before Prowler knows what happened. It’s then that the effects of being a clone that’s missed his medication hits him and he keels over in pain. At New U female Electro tortures Madame Web to learn Prowlers location while the revived villains continue to battle each other.
Prowler looks up and comes face to face with female Electro, the psycho who killed him.
What I thought
Not a big fan of this cover it looks like they cut and pasted Prowler here…..not high quality at all.
Art is gorgeous. Prowlers place in Jackals revived army has become clear. He is the eye of the storm, the voice of reason amongst all the crazy folk that he has brought back. That’s cool. This issue was exposition heavy though it did establish all the players motivations for being involved in this tale. There is also quite a but of set up for the remainder of the series.
I give this issue 3/5 stars
I really like the storyline of this comic, and his new and improved costume is looking good.
