Skills and Abilities:  Military training in armed and unarmed combat.

Technology: Skyman uses a he power suit and belt to grant him superhuman abilities. The helmet focuses a field created by the belt directly into his brain giving him heightened reflexes. The Belt generates a radiation field that can also be channeled to enhance his body’s potential, this essentially doubles his strength and resistance to injury. The field also heals his spinal injury allowing him to walk while wearing it.

When the previous ‘Skyman’ turns out to be pretty much a racist jerk — and makes a scene on the Internet — Eric Reid, a crippled sergeant in the Air Force, is tapped to take over the mantle. Reid, had previously suffered a crushed vertebrae in the line of duty. He’s forced into being a superhero and handed a belt that lets him use his legs and a suit that puts him in flight — much to the chagrin of his handler Lieutenant Sharp. He makes his public debut at a press conference alongside president Barack Obama [Skyman #1].
