Powers: As a being composed of pure energy she is virtually immortal with no need to eat or drink. She can manipulate her energy to create concussive force blasts, teleport across vast distances and heal others. Her main weakness is a reliance on her containment suit, without it she would lose her physical form and her energy would dissipate.
Biography
Born Dee Milo in a normal human family of African American descent, her world changed at age eleven while visiting her grandparents. When her powers manifested she was converted into a being of pure energy and destroyed her grandparent’s home killing her grandparents, two older brothers and her parents. Deeply traumatized by these events she was found by Professor Xavier founder of the X-men who made a containment suit which allowed her to maintain a humanoid appearance. Due to the traumatic manifestation of her powers she suffered bipolar disorders, suicidal tendencies and had trouble sleeping.
Working through this she decided to join the media friendly X-force/X-Statix. After joining the team Xavier created another containment suit for her which functioned like a replacement skin allowing her all the benefits a normal human had, such as sensations from touch etc. After confessing her fears to teammate Orphan they consummated their love. Venus eventually learned that her parents were not in fact dead but had been teleported to another dimension.
Later she was offered a record deal because of the teams popularity but was pulled into a finale battle for one last big paycheck. During this last battle the team was devastated and all members killed. As a being of pure energy although she sacrificed herself to try and save her team and had her molecules dispersed she was not seen in the afterlife like the others.
