I’m pretty sure the hate mongers are fuming this despite it not being confirmed but according to CBR Jamie Foxx is in talks to play supervillain Electro in the upcoming sequel to 2012′s “Amazing Spider-man”.
Sony’sThe Amazing Spider-Man 2 is lining up an impressive cast. Following news that Shailene Woodley will play Mary Jane Watson, we’ve now learned that Django Unchained star Jamie Foxx is in negotiations for the role of Electro. According to Variety, the classic Marvel villain is confirmed as the antagonist, but Foxx is still only in talks.

I think it’s pretty awesome diversity is the key give somebody a chance and a black man at that I know a lot of fan will b pissed

I actually don’t have a real problem with this casting. Interested in Jamie’s take on the character.

I don’t have a problem with electro being black but Jaime fox? To me he looks like I wouldnt be able to take him as serious a villain/serious character

Acting is an art. Most characters back in the day were white because, the comics wiuldnt sell if they werent. Doesnt mean the person who wrote saw the character that way. Plus a character in a comic is just a template, if a person can act that character & it doesnt change the story or story line, then let them be it. If anyone has a problem…. deal with it on your personal time
