Powers: As hornblower, he had Gabriell’s horn which could be used to transport himself and others across dimensions, as Vox he generates portals and can produce sonic blasts.

Biography

Malcolm “Mal” Duncan met the teen titans after saving them from a street gang. Impressed with his courage they gave him membership on the team. Feeling unworthy because he had no power this is alleviated when he gains an exoskeleton and he becomes Guardian. After defeating the angel of death in a dream he is granted Gabriell’s horn which grants him UN-specified power. When the horn is later stolen he marries his Bumblebee and retires from heroics opening a successful Jazz Club called “Gabrielle’s Horn”.

He reforged the horn and journeyed into space during an infinite crisis but the team was scattered and he was severely injured when the horn blew up in his face. His vocal cords and lungs are now useless, on the verge of death Cyborg gives him cybernetics with parts from Red Tornado, Steel also assists.

After recovering and joining Doom Patrol he divorces his wife when they become distant. All the powers of the horn now reside within him.
