Meet the Tuskegee Heirs!

This concept has been on my radar for a minute and I just had to share. From the minds of Marcus Williams and Greg Burnham! If you like what you see then join their facebook page for more updates here.

Synopsis: Tuskegee Heirs is a futuristic sci-fi adventure that follows a small squadron of young gifted aviators who are forced to become earth’s last line of defense against a highly advanced military faction bent on destroying civilization as we know it.

Following in the Japanese animation genre’s age old practice of dropping unusually talented youths inside the cockpits of enormously powerful machines, the amazing pilots of this series will be no exception. We’re crafting this story to merge everything we love about science fiction, action-adventure, comedy, and rich character growth, to highlighting historic jewels of information to create a unique series for all ages. More details coming soon!

  1. This looks like it could be a very good story-line. Somebody call George Lucasa see if he’ll animate this…..he’s already done a live action version lol.

Check out the Facebook page for this comic.

  2. This looks like it’ll have some serious potential.

When you think on it, you have to wonder, with how ever-present this robot fighter-Mecha genre is, why we haven’t had an iteration where the youths in questions where anything other than “vaguely-Japanese” or at most “vaguely-Western” (taking into account general Japanese Animation and Drawing conventions regarding Westerners)?

Also, kudos to the artist! You can tell they really poured a lot of time and with these Mecha and Character designs, with magnificent results. Seriously, we know absolutely nothing about these characters beyond the synopsis blurb, and yet they look so completely cool and filled with personality, just from these few images alone, especially the kid who I’m assuming in the main character. I wonder do they have names yet and are there character close-ups for the other 4?
