Get your first look at the intensity of TV hopeful series centered around the Jefferson Pierce/Black lightning. I would lose my mind if this series found a home on the CW beside Supergirl, Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow and Flash. Just look at that costume and tell me it doesn’t just scream “coolest thing on TV ever”. As an added bonus we also get two female black superheroes on his daughters Jennifer Pierce (aka Lightning) and Anissa Pierce (aka Thunder). Black Lightning centers on Jefferson Pierce. He made his choice: He hung up the suit and his secret identity years ago, but with a daughter hellbent on justice and a star student being recruited by a local gang, he’ll be pulled back into the fight as the wanted vigilante and DC legend Black Lightning.
Black Lightning was created in 1977 by Tony Isabella and Trevor Von Eeden. The hero was DC Comics’ first major African-American superhero and has served as a member of Batman’s Outsiders and the Justice League.
