Skills and abilities: Chapel is a government trained assassin skilled in both armed and unarmed combat. He mostly uses a variety of blades and guns when in battle to great effect.

Powers: Bruce has superhuman strength, resistance to injury, reflexes and sight.

Biography

Bruce started out as a promising soldier in the united states army who was eventually drafted into a government assassination team alongside Al Simmons. Over the years they became best friends and were the very best at what they did. When ordered by his superiors however to kill Simmons he didn’t hesitate and after killing his friend caused the events which turned Simmons into Spawn. Over the years he continued to be a top rate assassin who was enhanced by various chemicals to make him superhuman. Unknown to him he was also given a form of HIV that could be activated at will by his superiors if he ever became a liability. Chapel was later placed on the government sponsored superhero team Youngblood. His past came back to haunt him in the form of Spawn who had regained his past memories and death and betray by Chapel. In the resulting fight Spawn ripped of some of the skin from his face in the shape of his famous skull mask. Having survived he had this part of his face replaced by grafting a real skull onto that area of his face. As he became more violent when he learned he had been infected with HIV he was taken off the youngblood team and sought a cure for the disease and teamed up wit Shadowhawk. Unable to find a cure he hunted Spawn to find out the secret of his resurrection. When he learned of the Spawn process he committed suicide but instead of becoming a “spawn” he became Lord Chapel a Horseman of the Apocalypse. He was eventually separated from this demonic half of himself  and helped Spawn to defeat it. His current whereabouts is unknown.
