Biography
Maxwell Williams was a promising young athlete in high school whose prospects were derailed when he was injured in a car accident. He would have remained a quadriplegic if not for Lex Luthor’s Lexcorp providing experimental treatment which had the side effect of giving him superhuman abilities. With his powers he fought crime in the suicide Slum under the alias of Maximum. [Supermen of America Vol.2 #1, 2000]
He was alter recruited by the Supermen of America where he became possessed by “the unimaginable” endowing him with godlike abilities with which he attempted to ake Metropolis into a Utopia and fought his teammates. His parents later convinced him to relinquish this new power and he remained with the team until the events of Infinite Crisis.
He has not been seen in the new 52.
