Biography: Dismayed by a world that has become increasingly full of hate and despair, Libertas, the Eternal Spirit of Liberty seeks to empower select mortals to serve as beacons of hope to their fellow men and women.
A second generation army brat, Candace Cramer always wanted to represent her country. While her grandfather, both parents and older brothers all chose military paths, Candace was a soccer star from an early age and after a stellar college career appeared destined to star in the Olympics wearing the Red, White and Blue before transitioning to a pro career. All that changed however when she was blindsided one night by a drunk driver. With her right knee shattered (amongst many other injuries), her Olympic dreams were as well. Undaunted by her greatest goal now being out of the picture, Candace nevertheless persevered through rounds of therapy to repair her broken body in unheard time and, staying close to her lifelong passion while taking advantage of her Stanford University education, becomes a top sports reporter. It is at this point in her life that she is one day confronted by Libertas who reveals to Candace her true destiny- that she has been chosen to look over and protect America and to serve as the beacon of power and hope the nation now needs as Columbia, The Spirit of America!
