The X-men line has been white-hot since Hickman took over. Despite this however black mutants…unless your Monet, Storm, Bishop, or Prodigy have been all but been ignored.

Synch and Darwin (and Laura Kinney) showed up for a single issue in X-Men #5, then entered a vault – and never came out. Next February THEY ARE BACK!
Back in X-Men #5, Laura Kinney/Wolverine, Synch, and Darwin entered The Vault on a reconnaissance mission but never emerged – with Cyclops and Xavier estimating at one point that they had already spent the equivalent of over 500 years inside, with no sign of emergence. Now, in X-Men #18, they’ll emerge, and the secrets of The Vault and its children may be revealed.

I never expected Synch to return…though I was hoping he would be the sole survivor with a combination of his allies powers with 500 years of knowledge and experience with a measure of immortality… let’s see how this plays out…
