As the Squadron gets closer to the answer—who is the cabal of alien races on Earth and what threat do they pose to the planet – things get personal for Doctor Spectrum as she confronts the man who helped destroy her universe and save her life…BLACK BOLT!
Also, the Squadron’s Nighthawk vs. the Nighthawk of the Marvel Universe??
What I thought
I am in so much love with this awesome cover illustrating the battled between the two Nighthawks.
This issue again was more set up for the ongoing plots running throughout the book. The Nighthawks confront each other at the end with tensions high over the death of Namor who was 616 Nighthawk’s teammate. Elsewhere Dr. Spectrum learns more about the alien group that has apparently infiltrated earth, the myriad. Toro, the Human Torch’s former sidekick now Inhuman has a tussle with her over the death of Namor, his former teammate. She is forced to work with Namor as the group is set upon by the aliens before they can destroy the Inhuman Power determining machine.
Elsewhere Hyperion flirts with a waitress and meets her son.
A decent book surely with Nighthawk still being my absolute favorite! Watching him kick ass next issue is going to be great. What is up with all the original defenders popping up in some capacity across this series? What is the connection between what the Squadron Faces and something from their past? The mystery deepens.
Overall I give this one 3/5 stars
