Biography
When the previous ‘Skyman’ turns out to be pretty much a racist jerk — and makes a scene on the Internet — Eric Reid, a crippled sergeant in the Air Force, is tapped to take over the mantle. Reid, had previously suffered a crushed vertebrae in the line of duty. He’s forced into being a superhero and handed a belt that lets him use his legs and a suit that puts him in flight — much to the chagrin of his handler Lieutenant Sharp. He makes his public debut at a press conference alongside president Barack Obama [Skyman #1].
His next mission found him in Egypt where he took a tour of the city Cairo and discovered that the Skyman program had been using him as a cover as they continued to do covert assassinations on behalf of the U.S government. He managed to save a few survivors from the burning building before he confronted Sharp. After the two fight Reid wins and takes the Skyman costume and flees [Skyman #2].
Meeting up with Captain Midnight while fleeing he’s taken to his base. They become fast friends and Midnight fixes his belt so he cant be remote-controlled. They are attacked by Sharp and his men using proto-type Skyman suits [Skyman #3]. Together the duo defeat their attackers and Reid is given a new belt made by Midnight. Reid after reuniting with his wife tells his story to the press and mass media [Skyman #4].
