One of the fraternal twins born to Terry and Wanda Fitgerald, as they grew they displayed psychotic, destructive and sadistic tendencies. Things appeared to only got progresivley worse as time went on they grew. They ultimately decided to murder their entire family one night [Spawn #156]. During their attempt Spawn arrives to stop them. He is however is unable to truly kill them. It was only with the arrival of Zera, the Queen of the Seraphim, that the truth was revealed – Jake Fitzgerald was the earthly vessel of God, and Katie Fitzgerald the vessel of Satan [Spawn #157-158].

Mother then intercedes and reveals that both God and Satan were removed from their respective kingdoms and reincarnated as human children to aid their understanding of humanity. Mother is the creator of the universe and all its worlds, and God and Satan are two of her many children. She regards them as disappointments, being consumed with destructive hatred towards one another. Mother, who has aided Spawn in the past under the guises of Kali, the Keeper of the Greenworld, and the Man of Miracles, warns Spawn that he alone has the potential to rise above God and Satan, and preserve the human race. He also warns that Armageddon cannot be stopped – it is Earth’s destiny [Spawn #158].

While Spawn undergoes the trials the twins return to their respective kingdoms to prepare for the final battle between heaven and hell [Spawn #158]. As War rages between both sides the four horsemen are also unleashed. Earth is left a mass grave in their wake [Spawn #160-161].

After Spawn is transformed thanks to the forbidden fruit both heaven and hell team up to try and destroy him. It fails and leaves them without an army. Mother then restores their original forms and traps them in a dimension where only they exist. As predicated they then start another battle to try and destroy each other. Blinded by their rage they will never again find the Earth, heaven or hell [Spawn #162-163].
