Skills and abilities:Street smart with solid amateur boxing, hand-to-hand combat and suspect apprehension skills

Powers:  Aided by the advance tech embedded in his left hand, Jack is able to:

Phase through solid objects

Generate a short-range force field

Emit a large scale EMP blast

Hack computers and the human brain to retrieve information

The device has a low-level A.I. that can automatically trigger phase or shield ability to protect Jack as its possessor

 

When Jack is converted to the assassin:

The device becomes far more powerful and can detach to operate autonomously.

The device can unfold panels to form hover disc that the possessor can use to glide short to medium distances, even high above the city’s skyline.

A second device is triggered that has the same gliding abilities

Powered by advanced electro-magnetic technology, both devices aid their possessor by providing the perfect skillset to infiltrate and/or eliminate enemy targets.

 

Biography

Jack Maguire is a second-generation police officer and NYPD detective. Still haunted by his father’s death as a 9/11 first responder, Jack Maguire lives in the shadow of his father’s amazing act of bravery. Jack secretly uses a mysterious high-tech device hidden and embedded in his left hand on the job to solve crime, He has done this covertly for some time. Jack has revealed some of his abilities only to his partner and love interest, detective, Rose Yancey. However he has yet to reveal even to her the full extent of what he can do and price he pays for the powers the device grants him. Most notably, Jack is often inhabited and sometimes fully transformed into Zade, a high-tech assassin who has been targeting black market weapons dealers that have been involved with engineering or trafficking devices similar to the one Jack possesses. How the device came into Jack’s possession is yet unknown.
