Biography
He’s first seen in visions of the future surrounding the “Trinity War”. Simon Baz is an Arab American who has been victimized because of his ethnicity after the events of 911. As a young man he took to street racing and eventually car theft. The night he became a green lantern he was fleeing from the police after stealing a car which ironically had an armed bomb on board. In a bid to save lives he drove the car into an abandoned warehouse. Unfortunately this was seen as an act of “terrorism”. Taken in by the authorities and interrogated, this is when the strangely “fused” Green lantern rings of Sinestro and Hal Jordan chose him as the new earth based green lantern after malfunctioning. The ring then flew him off resulting in the authorities contacting Amanda Waler about the situation, Cyborg of the Justice Also intercepts the transmission and approaches Batman about Hal’s disappearance.
