Biography

Charlotte was a nurse in Brooklyn, New York who defied all odds and made a happy life for herself with a loving police husband and a wonderful son. Her life changed irrevocably when her husband was killed on his way home with their son. This left her son with Spinal injury and expensive reconstructive surgery and therapy. She chose to change profession to afford her new expenses and moved in with her Mother-In-Law.

Here she met Warren Worthington III/Archangel who was just recovering from the manipulation of Apocalypse. After saving her life twice and fighting off a gang the two started to bond. When the vampiric Ravens tried to recruit Archangel they captured her to be his first meal but she helped him overcome his urges before the Ravens were defeated. Archangel continued to grow close to her and bonded with her son, Timmy. Her partner was later killed as they fought Genoshan Magistrates. Forge gave her added protection by providing her with an X-man costume.

Despite falling in love with Warren their relationship came to an end when he rejoined the X-men. She still remained an ally of the team however. When Gene Nation massacred a whole club worth of people she alerted Warren even though it was against protocol. She ended up in the cross fires of a fight between the X-men and Gene Nation in the Morgue but managed to survive. During Operation Zero Tolerance her son was captured and she almost betrayed Iceman and Cecelia Reyes to them before a change of heart. The team would defeat the leader of OZT and return her son to her. She also briefly joined the Fantastic Four for an adventure on the moon.

When the X-men fought the neo she was merged with a criminal she was pursuing, Delgado, into a two torso demonic creature with his personality dominant. She was freed when Delgado was beheaded by Wolverine. Charlotte then showed up multiple times alongside Bishop after M-day and was injured a fight with the shiar death commandos.
